I wasn’t really looking for a new shoe when I tried on the Trance. I was happy with the Adrenalines I had been wearing but I am always interested in new things and I had heard great things about the Trance so I figured I would try it on. As soon as I put the shoes on I knew I would be buying them. I had never felt this good putting on new 
shoes. They were as comfortable as a pair fo socks, with more cushion. After wearing the shoes around the store I went home a woke up the next morning to heaad out for a 15k run. I knew I shouldn’t wear brand new shoes for a run this long, but after waering the Trances home the day before I couldn’t bring myself not to wear them. Usually with new shoes it takes me a few runs to feel totally comfortable, but with the Trance’s I felt comfortable from the first step out my door. The Stability was just enough to prevent pronation, but not rock hard like some shoes. The cushioning felt like a neutral sushioning shoe, and the upper was velvety soft.
Now that you know how I feel about it I should add in a little about the technology. The Trance features Brooks new MOGO midsole which offers a 40% increase in cushioning, 22% more energy return and 33% less fatigue than the original Substance 257. This means a more comfortable show that last longer. Brooks is also realeasing the next Trance with environmentally friendly biodegradable MOGO. The Trance also has forefoot and heel Hydroflow gel inserts to to enhance the cushioning. The Upper features a multilayer custom fit ortholite sock liner, which is to say it fits like a sock. It also has just the right amount of mesh to provide breathabilty without sacrificing comfort. Give thie shoe a try and you might just walk out of the store with them on.
