CW-X Pro-Tights Review

CW-X Pro Tights Black/Navy MensUnfortunately, I have to write a report about the CW-X tight product, thus revealing my secret weapon, but please shhhhhh keep it quiet.  When I tried the CW-X Pro Tights; to my surprise, I felt like I was spring loaded, like easily bouncing up and down with each running step. I was stunned. Not to mention that I used it during the SportingLife 10K and broke my PB by over 3 minutes. (From 43:30 to 40: 29). Of course, I was more prepared and fitter than my previous year, but the product for sure had something to do with it as well. My goal for this race was: being able to Run 10K in less than 41 Minutes. The week before the race I did a 10K time trail in 43:00. That was hard to swallow; since, it made me realize that I was far away from my goal, but I still believed it. For the remainder of the week I tapered down my training (only distance wise while keeping my race pace; there goes another tip). Two days before the race, I went to the Running Free to pick up my CW-X tights which I tried that day, resulting in this already described feeling of being spring loaded. Then, during the race I felt so strong and used to the pace that when I crossed the finish line I had so much energy left that I ran an extra 500 feet to catch my training partner who was walking down the corridor just before entering the main lot. I guess the Running Free slogan: believe it achieve it is a perfect example of what happened to me, and it is applicable for any situation, not just sports. The tight is marvellous; it gives you an incredible sense of support, it fits snug and worked for me, I love it.

Thanks for reading my report.

  • Very impressed. Used for 4 weeks in training but was dubious about using in City to Surf 14km fun run in Sydney. But given it was cold, thought I would try under race conditions. As a 54 year old was nervous about injury so though CW-X tights would keep me warm which they did. More importantly, very little muscle pain after race, no lactic acid build up etc. Only minor trouble was that I think CW-X web site is not very helpful in helping people choose between the various models. I chose Pro because of hamstring and calf injuries or in fact fears about injuring them during runs. But during race, I had confidence to stretch out and run hard as I had a feeling that I was running in good form and was being protected by the compression.
