At 7.5 ounces a pair the Wave Ronin2 is a really fast racing flat. It is a neutral shoe so you do need to be a pretty efficient runner to wear them but don’t worry if you’re not. You can always get a pair of the Wave Musha as it is designed with some stability properties to it and tips the scales at only 7.9 ounces.
I’ve used these shoes for 2 races now, the Chilly half-marathon and the Around the Bay 30km race. All I can say is “WOW, great shoe”. These shoes ride nice and low to the ground with a really good cushioning-to-weight ratio.
Though flats aren’t for everyone, if you’re looking for a really good flat give either of these Mizunos a try. Who knows you just might find those extra seconds or minutes you’re looking for. Afterall, I saw an almost 2 minute PB at Chilly and a 7:30 PB at Around the Bay. Though I can’t guarantee a PB, I can guarantee a really high quality shoe. Even the material used in the heel is the best I’ve ever come across in a running shoe.
Well I just used these for both Sporting Life 10k as well as the Mississauga full marathon and man they’re just great! I ran 34:55 at Sporting Life and 2:48:30 at Mississauga and my feet felt great!! Thank you Mizuno!!!!
Try a pair on today. What I can say is, “Mikey likes it”.
