If you’re tired of gels or maybe you have a sweet tooth GU Chomps is what you want to stock up on. Although I love GU gels I would never eat a gel unless it was a long training or race day – they just aren’t that appetizing. But with the GU Chomps I find myself wanting to snack on them all the time – which makes them the perfect snack when you’re running from work to your workout. And of course you can always leave a pack in your purse or car without ever worrying that it’ll go bad. I also find the Chomps very convenient and a good emergency food when you need an energy boost and the best part is that you can just eat one or two chomps and save the rest for later. Each packet of Chomps = 2 gels so don’t be discouraged by the higher price – it actually works out to be more economical. I’ve tried other similar products and the GU chomps are the most delicious ones and really reminds me of Swedish berries candies – but better tasting and better for you. The Blueberry Pomegranate flavour is my favorite but the other flavours are good too. I would never replace all my gels for the chomps during a race but it’s definitely nice to have choices and something that I really like snacking on even when I’m not logging huge mileage.
