On September 29, Running Free Orangeville and Run Dufferin will host their first-ever Chase the Coyote trail race at Mono Cliffs Provincial Park. There are three courses: a long course (13.7K) described as the ‘most challenging and exciting in Ontario’, a shorter (5K) designed to be introductory to trail running, and a guided hike (3.5K ) for geology enthusiasts. The whole family can get involved as there is also the Johanis Karate Kids’ Fun Run (less than 1K), free for children 12 and under.
The race is non-profit, with the majority of proceeds to benefit the Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club, to help with trail maintenance and improvement, as well as land acquisition for their section which runs north of the park to Lavender. The remainder of the funds will go to Run Dufferin to foster the growth of running programs in the Headwaters region.
To respect the sensitivity of the trails (the park’s trails are part of the Bruce Trail system) and because of limited parking, the race will cap out at 300 participants. Running Free Orangeville and Run Dufferin encourage racers and hikers to register now!
To learn more about the race, view the course and to register, go to www.chasethecoyote.com. We woud love to have team members from each Running Free store proudly wearing their red shirts!
I was interested in entering this race but the link to the registration page appears broken.
Please let me know more info.
thanks Dave
