I’ve owned and loved Salomon technical gear before in my former life where I dabbled in cross-country ski racing, but other than those specific pieces of equipment, I’ve never owned any other Salomon products until I picked up the Salomon Exo S-LAB II Shorts.
Right away the shorts caught my attention with their funky spider web design on the outside of the shorts. But that is there for more than just looking cool. It is Salomon’s EXO Sensifit Technology which works to provide extra stability, support, and compression. I put them through the ulimate test in the heat and humidty of Ironman Louisville (pictured below), and while I didn’t break any speed records during the run (my fault for lack of training), any Ironman run is going to zap the legs and these shorts definitiely made my day easier and my recovery shorter. I was able to complete another Ironman 6 days later thanks to that speedy recovery.
The shorts also have pockets built into the waist area to fit in gels, or whatever else you decide to place in there. They are nicely hidden too because at first I didn’t even know that they existed.
Chaffing was in the netheregions was not a issue either. This is something I always look for in any shorts I plan to run long distances in.
You can take advantage of the performance benefits of these running shorts in the heat of summer or in cooler spring or fall weather.
Pick up your pair of Salomon Exo S-LAB II Shorts and use code 11296 to save a few dollars.
While you are picking up these, consider matching it with their Salomon Exo IV S-Lab Calf Sleeves.
