7 Systems – Endurance sport supplements
I find being a long course triathlete with a demanding full time career there are many things you learn to juggle in your day-to-day world. You try to prefect every aspect that is within your control to help yield the best results come race day. You try to create the perfect training plan, you spend countless hours between swimming, biking and running in between the +40hrs at the office and not to mention most of us have families.
So like most, the one thing that tends to get neglected is our nutrition. Even with maintaining a healthy diet, most foods do not have all of the nutrients and vitamins which our bodies need while being push sometimes past the point of exhaustion. As many people say that the forth and most important discipline of triathlon is nutrition – as I couldn’t agree more, I often find myself eating on the run and forgetting to properly manage this correctly.
I was first introduced to 7 System about one month before my first 70.3 race in 2012, I had just recently finished Escape from Alcatraz and was still in search for the proper nutrition balance for race day. So I decided to speak with a fellow triathlete whom I have come to admire for her ‘tough as nails’ approach a racing and 16 plus Ironman currently under her belt. As she walked me through every hour or my upcoming race helping me plan for every gram of carbohydrates and milligram of sodium her final advice was this “here take this everyday, at least 30 day out from your race” as she handed me a bottle of 7 Systems. And for the past two seasons I have made 7 Systems a part of my daily nutritional training, arriving at 10 plus race starts feeling healthy and consistently exceeding my personal best. I will not claim that the 7 Systems was the key for me, but it was one thing less that I needed to figure out with my time crunched lifestyle.
