The Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2 are every bit as good as the first generation. These shoes are still built on the foundation of being very lightweight while still providing very good cushioning. This shoe is versatile enough for logging long distance mileage, as well as durable and lightweight enough to use for race days. The shoe weighs a mere 8 ounces, but still provides the support and structure needed to be a great running shoe for the long term. The darker colouring in the new generation is striking and unique. This darker colour profile of black and blue should stay more vibrant with time and use compared to the previous colour profile, which became worn and dirty quite quickly. The makeup of the sole of this shoe allows for great traction in any running conditions. During winter running, the sole allows for minimal snow buildup while still providing the support and traction needed. Although I have not used these shoes in heavier snow conditions, they have an identical sole to the previous generation and should perform just as well in snowy weather. These shoes have been a great fit for me, and my running as they are extremely lightweight while still providing adequate support and cushioning. I will continue to enjoy the ride of my new Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2’s for plenty more miles. This shoe has been designed to be stylish and durable while providing a lightweight feel with ample cushioning, making running more comfortable. I will definitely be running in my next pair in 2015 when my current pair is finished providing me with what I not only need, but demand in a great pair of running shoes.
