As a lottery winner for Chase the Coyote I am thrilled to review this race! This was my 2nd trail race event and I must say it was the most amazing experience. The views along this route are unrivaled with a few great points to stop and take photos if you’re not running to better your race times. Along the course we saw lots of little critters and I even had to hop over a garter snake along the trail.
Everyone along the race route, at registration and kit pick-up and at the after party were friendly and welcoming. The volunteers were fantastic and ready to help any way they could. I’m not sure what the little sugar cubes were they were handing out for fuel but I’d happily run this race again just for those yummy little candies!
The trail race I ran last year was much smaller, and while the course was just as challenging I enjoyed the race through mono mills much more because of the volunteers, and comradery felt at the event. I highly recommend this race to anyone looking to make the transition from road racing to trail racing; its an experience that you wont soon forget for its organization, friendliness, scenery and over all wonderful experience. I’ll certainly be back to Chase the Coyote 2018!
