After trying out my first Brooks high impact running bra, the Crossback Bra 2.0, you can see the review here. I splurged and bought the Brooks 3-pocket bra. If you know me, I don’t like to spend a lot of money on bras but after owning the Crossback I wanted to add another high impact bra to my collection. I’ve also grown to trust Brooks to make great products.
I liked how this one was also practical with hidden pockets in different areas of the bra. It’s such a great idea to use the material you have at hand, I don’t know why more companies haven’t picked up on this. There are two side pockets for small items like a key or a gels and one more in the back where you can put your phone. It is a little difficult getting your phone in and out of your bra if you’re wearing it already because mine didn’t have a tab. But I did notice a newer model of the same bra had a tab which would probably make it easier to hold onto while you’re pulling your phone out. Perhaps if you’re reading this and are contemplating getting it, get the newer one.
Same as with the Crossback, as soon as I put it on I noticed it was comfortable from the start and provided the right amount of compression support without feeling restrictive. The seams aren’t bonded like the Crossback but this didn’t seem to matter because the sizing was spot on. Probably not a good idea but I decided to test it on the day of my TCS half-marathon and it did not disappoint. It was supportive without compressing me and it was very comfortable and smooth to the touch. I have been converted Brooks…THANK YOU for making my runs so much more comfortable!
