About Me: I started running about 10 years ago and raced a couple half-marathons. I did my first triathlon in 2007 with a borrowed Body Glove waterskiing wetsuit and an old neon green Miele road bike. Since that first race, I've worked my way all the way up to the Ironman distance and continue to particiapte in triathlons and running races of all distances. I love to stay active in the running community and was Race Director of a 10k/5k run for two years. I also help out with a number of other races throughout the GTA.
Sports: Triathlon, running, golf, volleyball, badminton, wakeboarding
Athletic Goals: Take a little break from long distance racing this season - maybe do some running races for fun.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Not catastrophic...more just annoying. Having a great race and finishing 3rd in my age-group in the New Balance Half-Ironman in Victoria, BC, but misreading the results, thinking I finished 5th, and missing the awards!
My most memorable racing experience was: Finishing my second Ironman in Mont Tremblant in 2013 and then watching my fiance run an awesome marathon to finish her first ever Ironman - something I'll never forget!
Favourite Racing Gear: Cervelo P2, Running Free jacket, Castelli bib shorts (I'll never go back to regular bike shorts again!)
Favourite Race: Orillia Triathlon, Bala Falls Triathlon
Favourite Race Food: Chocolate milk, Honey Stinger waffles, Gatorade, Power Gels
