About Me: A busy, full time Investment Planner and mother of two beautiful girls...love running for the freedom and goals that can be reached by training. I love working out and running for the pure enjoyment or meeting new people and acheiving my goals.
Athletic Goals: 2015/2016: 1) Complete half marathon (COMPLETED: MARCH 2015--CHILLY HALF, BURLINTON 1:57:01, JUNE 2015--BARRIE HALF 1:42), 2) PB 10km (COMPLETED APRIL 2015--TORONTO YONGE ST 00:44:41), 3) Complete one race each month, NEW 4) BQ at Toronto Waterfront Marathon 2015 (3:41:01....ALMOST!!! Will try again 2016)! 2016: 1) Run sub 43 min 10km and sub 21 min 5k--Not quite, a goal for a future year. 2) Qualify for Boston at the Mississauga Marathon in May (I did it 3:38:38...BUT did not get accepted to 2017 Boston due to capacity limitations...2018 it is). 3) Run Chicago Marathon. 4) Run sub 1:40 half marathon (done CHILLY HALF 1:38). 5) Complete one race each month.
My most memorable racing experience was: December 2014: Finally racing a sub 23 minute 5km (in Florida) and placing 3rd overall female out of 174! September 2015: Orangeville's Island Lake Classic 10k...overall female winner (47:28)!! October 2015: Completed my first FULL marathon and just short of BQ! November 2015: Downsview Airport 8km Overall female winner! May 2016: Mississauga Marathon Boston Qualified....did not get accepted to 2017 Boston due to capacity limits, but a qualifier none the less! October 2016: Chicago Marathon finisher....I cannot explain the crowd and excited, except to say: I highly recommend!
Favourite Racing Gear: New Balance--anything! Especially Minimus and Race shoes.
