About Me: I'm a high school sophomore who got into running in the seventh grade. I love to run and race, and supplement my training with swimming as well. I race XC for my high school and race many races throughout the year. I love to run, swim, and play many sports, and am aspiring to compete in longer races.
Sports: Running, swimming, volleyball, alpine skiing, flag football
Athletic Goals: Run the STWM 5K with a PB Run a 10K race in 2019 Complete in a sprint aquathlon. Train with higher mileage and intensity for the high school XC season and place well at the qualifying meet!
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Racing the Beaches Jazz Run 5K in 2016 deciding to bring a large handhled water bottle on the way (it was 36 degrees!) and breaking it in half at the turn around! My laces also came undone at least 6 times during the race, and finishing covered in water wasn't great either! :)
My most memorable racing experience was: Finishing my first triathlon at Guelph Lake hosted by the Subaru Triathlon Series. My bike had broken the night before the race and though it was unable to be fixed at my local bike shop, an employee lended me his bike to use for the race! Definetely enjoyed the open water swim and run but the bike was a new experience!
Favourite Racing Gear: Nike Pegasus 35 running shoes
Favourite Race: Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront 5K
Favourite Race Food: Oatmeal, ANYTHING with peanut butter, and BANANAS!
