About Me: I've been adventure racing for the past 11 years. However, I still enjoy competing in triathlon, running, orienteering and cycling events.
Athletic Goals: Our focus for the year is the Adventure Racing World Chamionships and the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Jungle foot rot contracted in the jungles at Eco-Challenge Fiji.
My most memorable racing experience was: Sprinting to the finish against Team Merrell/Wigwam after six days of racing at Primal Quest in 2006. It should never be that close after 6 days! We missed the podium by a few hundred metres.
Favourite Racing Gear: Shoes: Salomon S-LAB
Favourite Race: Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge
Favourite Race Food: Currently a toss-up between Baldersons Cheddar Cheese & mini-cinnamon rolls, but this changes on a race-by-race basis, since it's impossible to crave the same foods when consuming over 8000 calories a day....variety is key!
At Summit 700 we aim to create the big-marathon experience, but with the personal-touch of a grass roots trail run.
