About Me: I was somewhat athletic in high school, but got lazy and out of shape throughout university and for several years after graduation. I'll forever be grateful to my wife for convincing me to go the gym with her and give it a try because within a few year I was 40 pounds lighter and in the best shape I'd been in in a long time. I decided to get into triathlon in 2008, and got immediately hooked (don't we all).
Sports: Triathlon, running, maybe a little cycling.
Athletic Goals: Go faster!
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Crashing due mostly to stupidity with poor bike handling thrown in for good measure on a wet bike course in Orillia. Fortunately, I escaped with minor road rash, and more importantly my bike was fine so I was able to continue. The most painful part was waiting hours for a tetanus shot that afternoon since I was way overdue!
My most memorable racing experience was: Ironman Mont-Tremblant. Never had a race experience like it, the whole town came together to put on such an incredible race experience for the athletes. Had a perfect day where everything came together and was able to exceed my goals.
Favourite Racing Gear: Newton, Sugoi, Blue Seventy, Garmin, Road ID, CW-X, BH
Favourite Race: Ironman Mont-Tremblant
Favourite Race Food: Big cup of coffee, Eload, Gu Roctane, EFS liquid shot.
