About Me: This is my third year running competitively. I have always enjoyed running cross-country and a bit of track at school. But I truly excel at trail races and longer distances. This year I wish to push my endourance, while increasing my short distance speed.
Sports: trail running (5-7km), cross-country (7km), road running (5-21.1km), Whitby hockey, Whitby Iriquios soccer, high school hockey, soccer, and rugby
Athletic Goals: 2011 Five Peaks Trail Race Series- champion age category(15-19)
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Alfie Shrub Classic 8km race. I had a goal time of under 30 minutes, which was quite attainable. I finished in 32:30. only beatnig my dad by about 40 secons. I started off great, the first two kilometers I was on track. Then I got terrible stomach pains. It got worse until 6km, where I started heaving. Until I threw up at 7km. I then finished as strong as I could, but wasn't at all impressed with my time.
My most memorable racing experience was: Missisauga Half Marathon, and my first half. I wasn't well prepared for this race. I had a goal time of 1:30. I started with the last 20 people off the start, and was the 314th to cross the finish. I passed about 10,000 people during the race. It was insane. I finished in 1:29.38. I was fourth for under 19. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This won't be my last half.
Favourite Racing Gear: Mizuno Wave Ronin 3, Sugoi Running Free short sleve, Sugoi Running Free long sleeve shirt, and Nathan thermal quickdraw water bottle carrier and bottles
