About Me: I began marathon running in 2003 and since then have expanded my interests to include triathlon as my major sport interest. In my spare time I enjoy scuba diving and snorkelling. I work full time as a paramedic and am a part time university student, and although it is sometimes challenging to stick to a strict training schedule, I believe the benefits are well worth it

My most catastrophic racing experience was: At the 2016 Barrie triathlon I missed the swim start because I was already...swimming. Thankfully I didn't finish last!

My most memorable racing experience was: At the Georgina Tri-a-tri in 2015 I made the mistake of trying a disc wheel for the first time and forgetting to bring an extra non-disc wheel with me. At 5 minutes before the race start one of the officials told me that disc wheels were out for the day due to the wind. I was devastated as this race represented the culmination of my summer's training. Luckily another racer from a different event graciously offered to lend me his rear wheel, and helped me switch my wheel quickly. Thanks to him I was able to make it to the start line with 10 seconds to spare and go on to win the race
