About Me: A former mid-pack cross country runner who suffered from terrible shin splints. I don't know what prompted my return to running some 20 years later, but it was likely watching my wife Melissa go for 30 minute jogs and not get shin splints. I have - and always will - run for my family. To keep myself in good health and to ensure I am a positive role model.
Sports: Competitive Road Racing, from 1 mile to 42.2k.
Athletic Goals: Every year, get a little bit faster. Inspire others to achieve their best, and to keep the guys looking over their shoulder at the finish line.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: A meltdown of 3:24 in my first Boston Marathon 2012. Worst marathon race result. Ever.
My most memorable racing experience was: Hamilton Marathon 2013, 4th overall, ranked 2nd master marathoner in RoadRaceResults.com in 2013.
Favourite Racing Gear: Saucony Ride 6.
Favourite Race: Boilermaker 15k
Favourite Race Food: Dairy Queen chocolate shake.
