About Me: Married with 3 daughters. Spending many hours of early morning training to attempt to limited interruptions to family time.
Sports: Cycling, Triathlon, Curling and baseball.
Athletic Goals: Swim Faster and Bike Faster. Arthritic hips have ended my running, which was the strongest of the 3 events. New goal - Podium finish for Niagara Falls Barrellman AquaBike - The bike is close, need to get much faster in the swim. Decent results in at the Canadian Masters Time Trial and Road Race Championships.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: I have not had an experience that I would call catastrophic, but almost forgetting put my helmet on leaving T1 at Barrelman could have been.
My most memorable racing experience was: There are a few. Travelling to North Carolina for the Ironman 70.3 making it a road trip with my oldest daughter Racing my 1st Time Trial Race, different going all out on the bike and not worrying about running later. 1st Cycling Road Race. Heck of the North. Very different experience riding in such a large group.
Favourite Racing Gear: I have not settled on a favourite anything. I did for running shoes, but can't run anymore.
Favourite Race: Ironman 70.3 Muskoka
Favourite Race Food: My typical pre race dinner is pasta with a meat sauce, and the morning before is a bagel with peanut butter. Post race, always seem to crave a big juicy Hamberger.
