Occupation: Accountant

About Me: 50 year old (yes - I'm the youngest in the age category - I'm gonna kick some serious geezer butt out there - well, not really) recreational runner who takes himself too seriously. Accountant by day and father of two by night.
Sports: Volleyball, running, cycling, weight training (it is so a sport)
Athletic Goals: To run a 5K in 23:00 minutes - I know, not lofty but it works for me. Hey - that was last years goal and I did the Bay and Back 5K in 22:30 and The Edge 5K in 21:40 (I think the timing clock was wrong - I'm not that fast). OK - new goal for 2014 - 5K in under 22:00.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: None - yet (Plan to keep it that way) 2015 - Black toenails after a pretty gnarly trail race - sad to say they both fell out - they are now just souvenirs.
My most memorable racing experience was: The Brick Duathlon in the Kitchener/Waterllo area back in 2000 (I believe) - my first time out at one of these types of events - boy, was it ever an adrenaline rush.
Favourite Racing Gear: I find that a good pair of neutral Adidas shoes (both Road and Trail) do me just fine.
Favourite Race: Chase the Coyote
Favourite Race Food: After a race I enjoy a banana with almond butter on top. I've only seen this supplied at the 5 Peaks events - the other races gotta get on board.
