About Me: Started off adventure racing and moutain bike racing however now do mostly triathlons; better for the family and you stay cleaner although I still like the odd AR.
Sports: 2011-Adventure Racing, Mountain Biking and Triathlon (I guess!) 2013-Mostly Triathlon now
Athletic Goals: Have a few big triathlons this year so I would like to have good races in these (PBs would be nice) and it would be nice to have a good race at the Mississauga Marathon
My most memorable racing experience was: Realizing that I was going to finish the Michigan Expedition (MIX)AR in 3rd place, my first 3 day race (May 09). In first trekking section, I (stupidly) wore a new pair of shoes and paid dearly for it; my feet got trashed. This made for a miserable rest of the race (anytime I had to be on my feet) and I was not sure how I was going to get through the rest of the race. With much help from my teammates, I was able to keep going and by day 3, my feet even started to feel a bit better (I am sure that the Advil helped). As the sun came up on the third morning, we came into a TA after a long orienteering section and realized that we were in 3rd place with only a short bike and paddle section. Its feelings like this while we all race. Also fininsh my first Ironman this past fall in Cozumel (2012) was pretty sweet.
Favourite Racing Gear: shoes: , Pack: Nathan Race Vest
Favourite Race: Huairasinchi Adventure Race in Ecuador (Feb 2010)
