About Me: I started running just over 6 years ago to lose weight. 80 Pounds later and I am loving every minute of it!
Sports: Running - from 5K to 80K Swimming Mountain biking
Athletic Goals: Sulphur Springs 50 Miler (80K).
My most catastrophic racing experience was: I never realized how painful it is to bonk until I experienced it first hand at the Mississauga Marathon. I was feeling off at the 21K mark and by 28K, I was crashed into the side of the street unable to get up and finish the race. The Ambulance scooped me up and got me hydrated and refueled. Ever since then, you will never see me without my water and gels!
My most memorable racing experience was: Seaton Trail 53.3K. After 6 hours of straight running, I was getting tired and sored. Instead of stopping to walk the last bit, I turned on the jets and danced my way into the finish.
Favourite Racing Gear: Anything CW-X! Compression clothing is the way to go. Salomon trail shoes and compression sleeves.
Favourite Race: Seaton Trail Race - My First Ultra!
Favourite Race Food: GU Chomps and eLoad. I never leave home without it.
