About Me: I've been involved with a variety of sports all my life, but always thought I hated running. In 2010, I agreed to train for a 5k with a friend, and discovered I really didn't hate running after all. My training was sporadic after that due to having kids, but last year I was able to put in my first full year of consistent training and am now more hooked than ever and excited to keep pushing myself and see what I'm capable of. I also love that running gets you outside, lets you explore, and is both something you can do alone and a great way to meet others.
Sports: Running, baseball, tennis, hockey
Athletic Goals: 3:15 marathon, 1:28 half, sub 40 10k, sub 19 5k. Do at least one trail race. Run more with friends.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Nothing catastrophic (knock on wood!) but despite loving summer, I've bonked in a couple races because of the heat.
My most memorable racing experience was: The best is yet to come :)
Favourite Racing Gear: Saucony kinvara, Endurance tap, smartwool socks, lululemon, Fabletics, Kari Traa
Favourite Race: Mount Albert Sports Day 5k
Favourite Race Food: Always coffee and toast with peanut butter and banana before a race.

There are a number of great things about this race. Its mid-March timing feels like a great spring opener. Achilles
