About Me: I started running 2.5 years ago such that I could complete an adventure race. I have since completed three adventure races, orienteering races, my first half marathon in November 2013 and a winter half marathon March 2014. December 2014 I became a Mom with the birth of my first daughter Kate. Recovery has been slow however I've been taking a break from high impact activities. I am enjoying anything I can do with my new little one from Mom and Baby Bootcamp, Zumba, Yoga to creating a walking group just for Moms.
Sports: Skiing, running, mountain biking and softball
Athletic Goals: I would like to run another half marathon this fall.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Falling on a rock and injuring my knee on in the last 4 km of Logs Rocks and Steel adventure race. I got up and shuffled my way to the finish line and finished 4th in my category.
My most memorable racing experience was: Coming towards the finish line of my first half marathon with my husband and dog Raven meeting me about 1 km out. When my dog saw me she barked out of excitement until I crossed the finish line.
Favourite Racing Gear: Suunto Ambit 2s GPS watch. It tracks every sport from running to skiing. So versatile! Jogging stroller by Baby Jogger, I love the suspension for babe and it handles extremely well as it is long.
Favourite Race: Salomon Don't Get Lost Snowshoe Raid
Favourite Race Food: Endurance Tap (Mapel syrup gel) and scratch
