About Me: I've gone through the phases of being a runner, triathlete, Ironman, adventure racer, high altitude climber and treker. Now I'm into the Thai art of Muay Thai. . All those base miles of training, weights I lifted over the years have paid off. I've also been dabbling in the world of adventure writing for Get Out There Magazine. Stories about The Rock and Ice Ultra in Yellowknife and the Oxfam Trailwalker located in Ontario have been published. I guess I consider myself to be extremely well rounded in what I do for fun and health.
Sports: Running (trails prefeered) biking (road and mountain), trekking, mountaineering, Muay Thai, Hot Yoga, lifting Iron plates
Athletic Goals: Enjoy life and do athletic endeavors I have never done before.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Triathlon swim in Lake Ontario where I thought I was going to drown and had to make the signal for "save me" The waves were 3 feet high and you couldn't see the person in front of you. Holy Vertigo!
My most memorable racing experience was: Any race where you realize you have more in the tank than you thought you did and you hammer the course in a zone that is so hard to find in training.
Favourite Racing Gear: LED flashlights, last forever, use them on any adventure, Oakley Sunglasses and gloves (all shapes and styles) a touque or buff, any piece of upper clothing with a hood. With this gear, I can do anything.
Favourite Race: Ironman USA
Favourite Race Food: Power or Gu Gels and Hot Rods, wicked endurance combo for Ironman and mountains
