About Me: Born in Brampton, raised in Brockville ON in the heart of the St. Lawrence valley, I still call Brockville home. My wife, Carrie and I have 2 great kids and have raised them in Newmarket for the past 15 years. I am a true convert as I used to say & quote "if god ment us to run he would have made us cheetahs" now if I can't get out for a run, in a couple of days I go stir crazy. I love what this sport has done for me physically and mentally. The team of friends at RF Newmarket have made it that much better!
Sports: Running both road and trails. I added cycling this year and want a real street bike soon!!
Athletic Goals: Marathon BQ!
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Nothing I can think of, lets hope I can keep it that way. Wishfull thinking, 2012 was not so lucky, found my first wall in the Toronto Goodlife Marathon around the 38k mark and was forced to walk 4 times, note: never slap your quads with self talk to "get going" it doesn't work let me tell ya!
My most memorable racing experience was: This is tough...First Marathon, Ottawa 2011, PB Goodlife Toronto 2013, and the destination run that started me on the marathon path the Eastern States 20 Miler, the road trip, friends and view is a race to do again! Still love destination races and the Corning NY Wineglass in 2012 was a great race and a marginal PB.
Favourite Racing Gear: ASICS and Mizuno's are my shoes of choice. I love my EC3D and CWX shorts, always need more!
Favourite Race: Eastern States 20 Miler, Corning NY Wineglass Marathon
Favourite Race Food: Sbux vente LOL even if I dont finish it, GU gel, PB banana on toast, All Bran cereal with blueberrys, Heed orange ( with the vanilla been GU it tastes like a creamsicle), boiled potatoes with rock salt.
