About Me: I began racing in 2010. Prior to that I ran for fun with no specific goals. After my first race I was hooked, and immediately began searching for ways to improve. I entered a coaching program with Chris Pickering of Transition Myself Training and from there built tons of fitness and had some great results. Around the 2018 season I really started thinking more about different ways to define success in training/racing and have been learning to enjoy the process more, as big life changes have occurred. I am excited to be part of the Running Free community once again.

Sports: Triathlon- I have learned to love all 3 sports!

Athletic Goals: My main goals for this season are: 1. Stay Healthy! nothing is worse than when you are motivated and your body does not co-operate! 2. Be consistent. Everyday cannot be a breakthrough. But, If you keep your head down and do the work, you will develop the power, skill, and mental toughness to seize them. 3. Perform to my potential in longer distance racing. I have had some issues with nutrition, flat tires, and injury in the past couple of years that have derailed the performances that I know I can put forth. 4. Keep things in perspective. A sub par training day or race is NOT the end of the world, even though it can feel demoralizing. Get through these days and it makes the great days even better.

My most catastrophic racing experience was: It has all been nutrition related for me. Longer races have fallen apart and I have spent many races walking the run portion...sometimes from start to finish. I am committed to working on this and will have that race I am capable of!

My most memorable racing experience was: Fulfilled my 2015 goal of racing as a Team Canada age group athlete at the ITU World's in Chicago (Qualified for Gold Coast World's in 2018 but was unable to attend) Won my age group for the Olympic Distance Triathlon at Ottawa Nationals (2017) Set my 10km PR (37:48) at the South Coast Marathon 10km Winning the Royal Caribbean 5km race in St Maarten in December 2012!

Favourite Racing Gear: Wahoo Kickr and Climb paired with Zwift asI don't ride outside anymore except to race (due to fear of severe or mortal injury) New Balance Zante V3 shoes have kept me running well and injury free for the past couple of years. Bright socks Tracer 360 led vest for running in the dark

Favourite Race: Bracebridge Olympic Distance Triathlon

Favourite Race Food: breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and it generally doesn't matter what it is. F2C nutrition products have became a staple in my training and recovery.
