About Me: I am a Mom to four children, ages 13, 11, 9 and 7 and in my spare time, work as an acoustical engineer. Obviously I'm not busy enough so after a few years of running, took up the sport of triathlon. The time I dedicate to training keeps me fit mentally as well as physically.
Sports: Swimming, biking, running. What else is there?!
Athletic Goals: Looking forward to my second Ironman in 2018.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: I'm not sure I would classify it as catastrophic, but dehydration got the better of me at my first Olympic triathlon in Sydenham. Extreme heat and humidity coupled with a breastfeeding baby made it difficult to stay on top of my fluid requirements. That was the longest, most painful 10k I've suffered through!
My most memorable racing experience was: Finishing my first Ironman.
Favourite Racing Gear: I love love love my Running Free Headsweats Coolmax visor (and I'm not just saying that)!
Favourite Race: Toronto Triathlon Festival
Favourite Race Food: I'm old school. Give me Gatorade and I'm happy.
