About Me: Ive always been active in the outdoors -love paddling & exploring with map&compass. Few yrs ago a friend asked me to run a half marathon..I of course said "Im IN" - so the training & the Quest began...

Sports: Some road at first, now trail running, adventure running and adventure racing!

Athletic Goals: This year...CDR take II!...Be Fit, Be Healthy & Have Fun! Ultra's & AR's may seem crazy to some people...but crazy is FUN.

My most catastrophic racing experience was: 1.Coming out too fast on my first half Marathon....WAY too fast...and I suffered for it on the 2nd half of the race. (but still loved every minute of it!) baby steps, I predict more lessons to come....2.Almost fallin off a cliff in BC - Buntzen Lake 26K - scared the hell outta me!...3. Hellgate 100 (x2) - need I say more?

My most memorable racing experience was: 1.Crossing the Finish line at Angus Glen - my first race - seeing my smiling friends & family there to greet me - just doesnt get any better than that! - gets you hooked! 2. Finishing STORMY 50M with CT..wow who knew these legs could go that far 3.Coming into Leg 2 at CDR...and still smiling as I took off for Leg 3.. 4. PLACID SUFFERFEST! 5. well I could go on & on there are so many...bring on the 2010 season ...gonna be epic!

Favourite Racing Gear: For the Trails..Brooks Cascadias & my super new Salomon XT Wing S-Labs! Love my Saucony's for road... Love my Salomon Race pack & Belt...well EVERYTHING SALOMON... my "The Stick" - if you havent tried the STICK you need to go to the store and check it out!

Favourite Race Food: LARABARS!!! Cliff Bars, ELoad, E-Discs, Oatmeal/Bagels & PB pre-race....stingers...m&m's (they have magic after 10+hours) Belgian Waffles YUM
