Athletic Goals: Stay consistent - running 3 days a week to stay fit
My most memorable racing experience was: I think so far my best race ever was my first ever 10km (Sporting Life). I had never run 10km before and was very nervous about it. My boyfriend, now husband (a much more experienced runner and marathoner, David Topping) ran with me. It started to rain but that just brought people together as we looked at each other as if to say "oh well, what can you do? - keep running!" Lot's of laughter, lot's of fun. I felt like I was a part of something. It got me hooked on running.
Favourite Racing Gear: Footwear - asics Clothing - I love my CW-X tights!!!! I'm not entirely convinced that they make me run any faster or better due to all the science and technology put into them. But psychologically they certainly make me run faster because I feel like a superhero in them! Oh, and I *heart* moving comfort sports bras!
Favourite Race: Angus Glen Half Marathon
Favourite Race Food: Love banana flavoured GU (but they don't carry it anymore so I use plain now). I train with Eload (lemon flavour) but like grape Gatorade afterwards.
