About Me: I started participating in triathlons at the prompting of a university friend. My first race was an Olympic distance in Ottawa - and I was hooked! I haven't looked back since and I've graduated through the years all the way to Ironman distance triathlons
Sports: My primary sport is Ironman distance triathlons, but I also race a number of half ironman distance triathlons, and some running races as well.
Athletic Goals: 2012 will be a re-focused year, with a move away from IM distance racing to maybe a few Olympic Distance, and more running!
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Boston Marathon - without a doubt!! First step, cramp in my left quad, mile 5 - frozen calf on the right...it wasn't a great day - that's what happens when you try to fit an Ironman athlete into a marathon!!!
My most memorable racing experience was: Beside crossing the finishline at Ironman Hawaii with my brother and sister in 2005 - I now have to say that the finish line at Iroman Germany 2011 would be my most memorable experience - being proposed to at the finish line was certainly not somthing I was expecting to happen!
Favourite Racing Gear: Love Zoot clothing for comfort, style and great race wear. My CEEPO bike is one of the best fits for a shortie like me. And CEP compression clothing is my BFF
Favourite Race: Ironman Brasil and Ironman Germany (Frankfurt)
Favourite Race Food: anything yummy

Ironman Brasil is a great race for anyone who wants a motivator to stay in shape over the winter months.
