About Me: As a father of two young boys, training and racing has slowed down quite a bit from when I started. I studied Architecture at school and currently work for Enbridge Gas Distribution.
Sports: I partake in pretty well everything going and feel blessed to be able to compete in the sports I do. I originally started out Mountain Biking, and slowly moved to running and Triathlon/Duathlon - but I find myself slowly moving back to Mountain Bike related racing.
Athletic Goals: Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Definitely the incident at the 2010 Paris to Ancaster race. I was passing a large group of people at beginning of the race and another rider crossed the centreline of the road to pass me, but misjudged the distance between him and the oncoming car. He hit me, I went head over heels and landed on the asphalt head first. Minor concussion, and a shattered collarbone... Wasn't fun.
My most memorable racing experience was: I can still remember my first Half Ironman... specifically, how I felt afterwards! I went back home had a beer and passed out!
Favourite Racing Gear: I love pretty well any shoes made by Salomon. And every bike I own(ed) I loved in a different way! I'm really enjoying my Carbon Stumpy 29er right now tho.
Favourite Race: Logs Rock's & Steel
Favourite Race Food: Banana's are awesome to eat during races... Cliff Bars and Carb-Boom Gels are great too.
