About Me: In 2014 I started running again after a few decades off!! I had forgotten how much fun it can be.
Sports: running, cycling, swimming, alpine skiing
Athletic Goals:
My most catastrophic racing experience was: My last "race" was the Scotia half on October 19, 2014. The searing pain in my right leg started early into the race. Favourite Racing Gear:
Favourite Race: While running the Boilermaker I enjoyed talking to other runners - sage words about the course and humour! And then the after party.
Favourite Race Food: I'm still experimenting with prerace foods: I now know not to eat too much too close to a race! Coffee and Gu Chomps go down right before a race. After a race? Whatever strikes me as good at the time: a veggie burger with tomatoes and goat cheese or grilled salmon with avocado or a mango salad...
