About Me: I am a competitive age group athlete who enjoys pushing my personal limits. I geek out on all things that relate to running and training performance. While I enjoy the shorter distances 5/10km, ultra marathons stokes the run fires.
Sports: Trail running and any team sport!
Athletic Goals: My current training block is focused around improving my 5km and half-marathon personal bests. I have been focused on running long the past few years and speed has diminished as a result. Time to train in ways that I love: track days, hills, and any method that will improve my speed.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: My very first marathon was my worst experience as I bonked so hard. I had to run/walk/hobble the last 12kms just to not DNF.
My most memorable racing experience was: Completing my first ultramarathon in Nova Scotia was the biggest running rush I have ever had. 48km, over 2000m of vertical, and nasty conditions. Once the euphoria of finishing past, my legs let me know they weren\'t thrilled with the hills.
Favourite Racing Gear: There are 3 pieces of gear that I absolutely love: my Garmin, Saucony Kinvaras, and Goodr's. I can't live without them!
Favourite Race: 5 Peaks Cider Run
Favourite Race Food: I'm very particular with my foods and a creature of habit. My go to pre race/ training meals consist of brown rice cereal with a small amount of maple syrup. Post training consists of any carbohydrate dense food!
