About Me: I've played many sports over the course of my life but found that after my two sons came along playing team sports became too difficult. I discovered running in 2011 but injured myself within a few months. I picked it up again in 2012 and completed my first 10K, first half marathon (1:39) and my first marathon (3:36). While I still consider myself a novice, I'm really passionate about the sport!
Sports: Running, hockey, golf
Athletic Goals: Run 3 marathons in 2013 (Mississauga, Reykjavik, Chicago) and numerous half marathons. Ultimate goal is to qualify for Boston.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: 35th km of the Toronto Waterfront marathon when my quads seized up. Had to start walking for a short time, and watched the 3:30 pace bunny (my goal time) pass me at the 38K mark. I tried to keep up for about 15 seconds then realized there was no way I could do it!
My most memorable racing experience was: Stumbling across the Fort Lauderdale 13.1 Marathon twelve hours before the race and deciding to run it on a whim.
Favourite Racing Gear: My Brooks Adreneline 12 shoes, Garmin 610 watch, iPod, and my Nathan fuel belt.
Favourite Race: Boston Marathon
Favourite Race Food: Bagel with peanut butter, banana, energy bar and yogurt pre long run.

Standing there with my medal around my neck, a great sense of accomplishment fell over me. I’d just finished
