Sports: Baseball... I know it's not running or biking. Since the heart attack, not much has me feeling good like being able to get out again on my own and run, power walk, bike and swim and when you put them all together, I love the 70.3.
Athletic Goals: This year, at least right now, is to heal from winter injuries. Last year I posted a lot of PB's for myself, beat them throughout the year and I would love to get a little faster this year on my running and less power walking during a race. Mostly, I am going to have FUN racing, meeting people and enjoy still being able to live life.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Peterborough Half Iron DU. This was a bit of both, catastrophic as well as memorable. The fall on the bike portion at around 63k mark, then having to finish the bike as well as running the half marathon portion was very painful, but being able to cross that finish line within the allotted time was a very memorable moment for me this year.
My most memorable racing experience was: Racing with a friend of mine, Steve, last year and looking forward to racing together again this year. I got him into Duathlon's last year and he love's them.
Favourite Racing Gear: This list will change periodically. Asisc's 2140's (don't make them anymore...). New though is the K-Swiss S KONA love'm and no hot spots. Norco Valance, Aquaman, Ryders Glasses, My Running Free CoolMax hat,
Favourite Race: IM 70.3 Miami,
Favourite Race Food: Pasta and a little rice 2 days before. Gu, Jet Blackberry & Esspreso Love, Stingers, PB & J, Two bites of a Pizza if I can find it, during. After a race, anything I can find
