About Me: A mother of four teenage and post teenage kids - only have been running since 2010 - addicted to it! Began as weight loss aide but then grew into on obsession. In 2015 began triathlons with my bestie Stephanie Maggs - needless to say we are obsessed with it! 2016 was an amazing running and triathlon year. I qualified for Boston when i ran the Mississauga marathon and I also finished the Barrelman half ironman distance which was an amazing experience.
Sports: running and triathlons
Athletic Goals: To be active daily - an early morning run or gym in the evening or a long walk with my puppy and to complete a half ironman distance in 2016 and perhaps get closer to a BQ - hoping to run the Mississauga full and Scotia full again.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: having a panic attack at the waters edge prior to the start of my first try a tri in Guelph - thank god Richard calmed me down! couldn't see a thing with out my glasses - everyone looked the same in wetsuits and pink swim caps!
My most memorable racing experience was: running a BQ in my third full marathon! 3:40
Favourite Racing Gear: my wet suit - who knew what a wonderful thing it is!
Favourite Race: Mississaga half as it was my first long race also my first full
Favourite Race Food: steel cut oats and chia seeds
