About Me: I am a mom to 3 amazing kiddies - 10, 8 & 6. I love training for races but also just love to go out and run! My reasons for running are endless and constantly changing & evolving! My journey began in 2011 when I signed up for a 5k run clinic. The rest is kinda history, but in 2013, I ran my first half marathon and really discovered what true fitness was all about. I've struggled with my weight, food, what was good what was bad and then switched my diet to Paleo after completing a raw food cleanse. I am beyond thankful for the gift of running and the many friendships that I have made along the way. I love to encourage and inspire people along my journey & I really hope that I continue to inspire the 3 most important people in my life. I think it may be working as they have asked to sign up for a few races this season already!

Sports: Lots of running! I have fallen in love with the trails. I also love HIIT.

Athletic Goals: My 2017 goals are very exciting for me. I have many races planned for this season starting with the Chilly Half Marathon, Mississauga Full, Ottawa Half and I'm trying to sneak in a 50k somewhere!

My most catastrophic racing experience was: Falling on the trail on a training run. My ego was crushed, but I got up and kept on going!

My most memorable racing experience was: My most memorable moment was completing my first half marathon. Never in my life did I ever imagine myself running let alone running a half. My family was there to see me cross the finish line. It was such an emotional event.

Favourite Racing Gear: Garmin, Asics, anything Merino Wool for winter, buffs, spikes for running on the ice and my flip belt!

Favourite Race: Hamilton Road 2 Hope

Favourite Race Food: MAPLE SYRUP!
