About Me: I have been athletic all my life, competing at different levels along the way. Fitness and coaching have been a way of life. I began to focus on running in 2009, when I decided to train for and complete a marathon. I have since completed several half marathons and shorter distances. My passion for sport and challenge has now taken me to begin training for a fun filled triathlon season with Running Free.
Sports: Distance running, Horse Trials (eventing), enduro motorcross trail riding.
Athletic Goals: Continue training in pursuit of a sub 1:50 half marathon. Improve my speed training program. Initiate a triathlon focus.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Tying up in the Niagara Half Marathon after thinking I could maintain a 5min/km pace for the entire race (and discovering that I couldn't at the 14km mark).
My most memorable racing experience was: Taking two students to their first 5km road race in Peterborough in 1991!
Favourite Racing Gear: North Face TNF APEX winter tights. The best ever!!!!
Favourite Race: Robbie Burns 8km, Burlington
Favourite Race Food: Apples and a mighty great cereal.
